Are you ready to take your business to the next level? Now is the time to have your own website (or update your old, dated website) to showcase the great things your entity has to offer.
I started designing websites years ago for my own personal uses: as a forum to share baseball tickets, to promote personal rental properties, to advertise our business, and as a personal resume. These were crude prototypes of the use of .html (the web language), but as technology has developed so have the tools that allow me to build new wonderful websites, and I am now offering these services to you.
How Does this Work?
1.
Initial Consultation
- Together we will brainstorm what you would like your website to do. Is it strictly informational? Are you selling something? Are you offering services? Is it for a non-profit? The uses for a website are endless.
2.
Reserving a Name
- Now for some of the technical stuff. You need a domain name (if you don't already have one). That's the "www.xyx.com" that you see at the top of your browser when you go to a web page. I can help you with that. Generally reserving a domain name is very inexpensive - usually around $10 -$20. If you already have a domain name, we will need to transfer it to our website host so that we can rebuild the website to your liking.
3.
Building the Website
- With your input, I will build your website to your specifications. Here is where it gets to be fun. What sort of "feel" do you want your website to have? It can be formal and business-like or whimsical and light-hearted. It can be very modern or traditional. You can go for a retro look or something seasonal. The combinations are infinite. See the section below on the
Fantastic Features
available for your website.
There is a lot of "behind the scenes" work that goes into building a website beyond picking out colors and photographs. These range from such things as setting up the website's "SEO" or Search Engine Optimization, so that search engines like Google or Yahoo can find you on the internet, to designing flavicons (that little symbol that appears next to the website title on the tab), to editing and formatting pictures, to building and formatting the page structure/layout, to creating page anchors for easier navigation, to formatting the website for mobile devices .

- Once your website is compete, I can turn the reigns over to you to keep your website updated, or if you'd prefer, I can update your website as needed for a very nominal fee.
What Does this Cost?
My initial consultation and basic website package starts at $500. This includes reserving your domain name or transferring your existing one, the building of a 20 page (including subpages) basic website. Each additional page or sub-page is $25 per page. You are responsible for the cost of a new domain name (it will belong to you) and for the hosting of the website - that runs about $10 - $15 per month for a basic website. Websites that offer e-commerce are more expensive, and I can provide you more details if necessary.
